Alpine CD Receiver In 2007 Car

I have just bought an 2007 Exige which is fitted with what is/was an Alpine CD player, my Elise radio had an IPod connection, is the Alpine CD player compatable with an IPod , if I buy an Alpine Full Speed Connection cable from Amazon??? And is it a radio out job to fit the cable ?? As I don’t see anything on the front panel to plug anything in to???

Thanks

yeah it’ll plug in the back but it’s easy to do, as the radio will just slide out the cage. Pop the connector in and slide it back in place.

Err, are you sure?
I have the same car, and presumably the same head unit, and found that it was not possible. There is an input/output for a sub, and/or a steering wheel control, but it doesn’t support an ipod device. This info comes from a spotty oik at the stereo shop, and was confirmed on the alpine product website.

It is however possible with the MY’08 Alpine head unit.

My MY 09 is an Alpine CDE 9874R and that has the port at the back for an accessory lead. I guess there was a cut off before the Ark.

Bomber, thanks for the pointer ( compatibility site) it shows no compatabilty of any most Alpine units till after 2008

thanks for the help

I think I might go and buy a cheap Alpine at Halfords , they offer cheap, cheap, fitting…

I had a great Alpine CD receiver that I bought for my Seat Leon a few years ago. It has ipod and parrot blue tooth and only cost just over 100 ish i think. I got it from Halfords. That is now in my S2.

Which model Alpine was it you purchased??
