Do you chaps take your exiges to a dealer/specialist for mot’s or just somewhere local? I’m thinking it prob doesnt matter too much providing no work needs doing?

Mine went to a specialist - I think they are a little more realistic to the law
Eg big Lotus Sport sun strip possibly a bit big-pass
Eg 2 Small Lotus sticker on TT winscreen above tax disc - fail in Audi garage!

Track exhaust ,window tints ,sunstrip, all ok there !
I take it to a freindly local place and is always fine mine has same things as Johns, plus Hid’s, small plate and even when i had no belts and just harnesses that were just turn not click release it was fine.
I take my car to a little place that you’d think was a real dump from the outside, but I’ve been going for 17 years now and they really are top notch and very friendly. It may be worth seeking a small family run independent in your area and stick with them. My place took on board all I said about jacking points and soft chassis for potential damage (I didn’t patronise them though), and I have zero complaints of them. They also only charge �40 in these tougher times. Have a wander around in your local villages…

local garage for me too…
Found a independant local garage that seems ok, lads seem nice enough. They have a very clean looking place with a nice level pit too so no nasty ramps to climb onto.
I feel a little better putting cash into a local small business than some larger franchised rubbish with monkeys manning the spanners. Us punters should be important to them.
Good call on the jacking points, I’ll have a chat with them about that.
