My Brother is in Lyttleton, the location of the epi-center. Thankfully he is fine too. I was there only 8 days ago looking at the ‘minor’ damage from the Sept quake. It’s a really sad day for NZ. Glad you are ok.

My daughter is presently working on Waiheke Island, just off Auckland, & obviously I was somewhat worried when I heard about the 'quake. She is safe & sound too.
I presume that Mr Bean & family are okay? Can anyone confirm, please?

Sister in law works in Christchurch but had the day off when the quake hit! Lucky…

Rob i haven’t heard a bean, excuse the pun from Clive despite sending him a few messages. I think he will be OK he should be around the Bay of Plenty with his daughter and new born. He called me but left no contact number a couple of weeks back.
Jez, I checked where you are on the map when I heard the news and was pleased to find that you are on North Island and so stopped worrying. Glad eveyone else is OK too.
All good here. All family and friends present and accounted for too. Things are a bit of a mess in Christchurch, loss of life expected to hit 200bhp which I think would make it New Zealand’s second most lethal disaster.
I studied for 4 years in Christchurch, and have a great attachment to the place… I hope it recovers.
