Alcon Disks for Big brake kit

I’m not actually sure how many people on here have the AP 4 pot brake kit on their S2.

I’ve had mine fitted for over a year and i’m getting near to needing new disks. So i’ve been looking around for options. I haven’t had a problem with the AP’s but worth a look around.

I’ve been speaking with a guy at Alcon as they get very good reviews by quite a few of the S1 owners. They don’t currently have a disk that fits but if there is interest they might make one. We would have some input in the design - grooves / thickness of disk / surface finish. He thinks the small cresent groove disk is probably the best one.

Obvioiusly i don’t have any proper prices at this time as i’m trying to find out any potential interest to see if its worth them moving forwards at all. (the guy said ball park about 200 a disk in relativly low volumes).

Let me know what you think

I’ve just ordered some replacement discs for the Lotus S2 big brake kit from the US.

I did quite a bit of research before choosing these.

They should be here in 5 days so I’ll post up more info when I get them.

How much do the AP replacements cost in comparison? Still got plenty of life in mine but interested to hear what you find out. I see that Lotus Sport are now offering the option of cross drilled or grooved, but I’ve no idea on the pricing.

Standard AP’s are 262.50 each plus vat
