Alarm / Central Locking Reliability...

I almost had to call the AA last night

Basically the car didn’t respond to the keyfob! I grabbed the spare key fob and that didn’t work either

I dug out the AA details, went back in to the office and phoned my mrs to tell her I’d be late.

I thought I’d double check before calling the AA, and then both keyfobs worked!

Anyone else found it to be unreliable.

Si

Macman I have also had this same problem. I rolled up to the starting grid at a track day. Turned off my car - and it wouldn’t turn over. I couldn’t get the immobliser to disarm. I tried everything, eventually locked the car and went off to call someone. Came back, unlocked the car and it started. Its only done it to me once but it happened in a very bad place. Anyone else had this or got a solution? I’m going to put new batteries into the key fob’s just incase that is the issue.

You can override the immobilser, the instructions are on the piece of green / white card “Emergency Key Card”

Not sure how you’d get in the car to do that though

I might have to move that card from my safe to my wallet. My central locking was working - just the immobilser wouldn’t disarm.
