Alarm/Central locking problem

I’ve got a 2010MY Exige S PP and I have a problem with the alarm/central locking. If I try to arm the alarm with the key the lights flash once, the alarm beeps a double beep 3 times but the central locking doesn’t lock. The tell tale on the instrument binnacle flashes as normal and if I sit in the car and move the alarm activates or if I open the door the alarm activates. If I use the rocker switch in the car the central locking locks and then using the key will unlock the central locking but the key will not re-lock it. Anybody had a similar problem or has any ideas what the problem could be?

well…I have a similar problem…
central locking module in the dash has been replaced, but that has not solved the problem.
The rocker button inside works fine for locking and unlocking.
Sometimes the remote does work fine for locking, and the car locks normally, but sometimes (I couldn’t find any pattern in when it does and when it doesn’t) it just doesn’t, and I get the beeping from the alarm.
I checked every contact in the doors/access pannels/boot, and everything looks fine.

anybody any ideas ?

oh, it’s a 2008 Exige S PP

Ok…found it…
It was the cable running from the contact at the boot.
It passes just next to the clamp of the mass of the battery.
And by friction, it scraped the insulation away, and made contact to the mass of the battery. It probably sometimes made contact, and sometime it wouldn’t.
Some insulation tape, and problem solved !
