Remove drivers side air scoop, they are behind there. Three allen keys to remove

Just found them. Cheers. Hoping the aircon works better after…or at all. lol
Highly disapointed. Its still useless. Honestly cant feel a single difference between it being on and not. Is everyone elses the same?
You could have a leak, a few that age seem to have problems. My friends 111r is having issues and its a problem either in or near the sill where the pipework has rotted away.
The system checked for leaks last night and didnt report anything back. Whats it actually ment to be like? Im not expecting bmw levels or coldness…but i would hope for something.
As far as i can see aswell the clutch is engaging. As when you press the button the revs drop over so slightly.
It’s not the best A/C by a very long shot !
Mine works ok but can only just cool my car sufficient for me on a very average UK summer day.
I use high fan and recirc … Also my front windows are smoked too…

I cant make sense of it…Some people claim of ice cold aircon…Others of non at all. Im reluctant to spend money on trying to fix the aircon if its as good as its going to get. Im sure the stealers could find things that need changing all day long.
Think best thing i can do is wait until i can compare it to someone elses before deciding if mines shot or not.
It should definately blow cold air ie be cold enough to keep the cabin comfortably cool, even when the outside temp is 30C+
Ok…something is certainly shot somewhere then. Im going to pop outside now for a bit…check my UJ’s and also take a didgital theremometer and check if theres a change in temp at all.

My mates had his tested for leaks too and they said there were non, I would get it tested again I think
Measured temps with digital thermo…Without aircon 22.2c…With aircon 22.2c lol. Tried switching it on and off without the engine running and i cant hear the clutch engaging so i gues thats it. Since the machine didnt detect any leaks yest i gues the clutch is shot.
Also had a look at the UJ down by the firewall…And as far as i could tell it was done up very tight.
The control switches have been known to go btw.

Air con relays can be a problem too, do the rad fans come on slow speed when the aircon is turned on? If not it could be the relays etc.
Dont beleive the rad fans come on with the aircon. Will double check. Seems it could be absolutly everything lol. Maybe best getting it to an aircon specialist or lotus.
you need someone close who knows the Exige aircon system, this covers the electrics and relay design, AFAIK the fans should be on half speed all the time the aircon is on so therefore it isn’t even turning on enough for that to happen

You could always try JSRacing, he’s just fixed my heater and regased the aircon. They are in Dudley so not too far…maybe go shopping at Merry Hill while you wait. He’d give it the once over I bet…maybe a Geo while you’re there
Worth a go i gues. I was going to go to Guglielmi motorsport for the geo etc. But may aswell kill two birds with one stone.
