ether it does not have one or its not called a pressure switch, are you checking because it does not work ?
Mike
Yes, aircon is not working and so far have checked gas OK, relay OK, but Toyota dealer says there is a pressure switch which checks the system to make sure it is OK to switch on the air con pump, needless to say can’t find it.

Is the aircon anything to do with Toyota? I know the engine is and I assume the aircon has got to come from somewhere but never heard it mentioned before.
PM me an email address and I’ll send a PDF containing diagrams and parts for an Exige, I can;t see anything on it that looks like a pressure switch but you might.
i think it could be part of the pump as i have the workshop manual and it does not show it
my aircon doesn’t work but i think its got a leak.
My aircon doesnt work either. 06 Exige S. I kinda need it at the mo to help the demisting in the morning…and come summer i’ll definetly need it. My pump doesnt engage either. Havent looked into why yet. Its all gassed up though.
Found the pressure switch its called a ‘Trinary’ switch and it is attached to the receiver drier under the front panels behind the radiator. The trinary switch says whether the AC will work or not, via the ECU, also controls the cycling of the ac unit as well.
Will see what I find and post any results.

Best of luck. Hoping you solve this to and then maybe il have ago at doing mine to. No aircon is a nightmare.
Managed to fix the aircon. The pressure switch was damaged, it had leak oil and then the gas leaked out as well. New switch installed and air con is working well. Switch took 5 minutes to install, finding fault and taking front body clamshell off and replacing it 14 hours ! Needless to say Lotus could have put the switch in a more accessible place, there is a capped off port above the drivers side front wheel where it could be mounted.
The fault is easy to check the 7.5amp fuse under the dash in the passengers front foot well will have no power if the pressure switch has failed. Remember the gas will most likely have leaked out, if not undoing the switch to replace it will empty the system quickly ! Hope this helps, good luck. Graham
Great info dude…
Mine is working at the mo , but if it ever fails, info like this will prove very useful .
I’ll check the power to that fuse when the weather brightens up a bit. Hopefully at least i’ll know what the issue is. Not looking forward to removing clam to fix it though.
