Airbox and or induction choices

As above really wanted to know what all the choices are on the induction side of the s1. any benefits or preference as to the best options. as regards to sound, performance etc etc thanks

Bernard Scouse is your man for air boxes

Standard TB’s are bigger than the Jenvey DTH bodies, so best for power. However the Jenveys are supposed to be better for driveability due to the placement of the butterflys.

Hopefully Dave Andrews will respond soon as he is the all knowing on this subject.

Lots of cold air from n/s intake via extended hose and an ITG filter seem to help.

Be warned though fitting an ITG filter is not as easy as you’d think:

It’s tempting, don’t for get I have the filter as well!

See my photos of damage to the foam in the air filter from using the Motorsport attachment to directly link the intake hose to the n/s air intake vent.

Having just had the air filter recovered, I’m going to disconnect the hose from the vent and ensure that whilst it takes cold air from that general area, it should not suck in stones and the like directly.
