air question

my s1 exige is standard as far as im aware. induction wise with the huge air box on the back of the trumpets and then just ahuge cone feeding down into the side intake of the car.i was looking into not only a motorsport vented engine cover and roof scoop for better cooling. but what other options are there. anything i could change on the induction side and what benefits are to be achieved by improving on induction ie sound etc ??? what variations do you have and how does it work on your s1 exige. look forward to the answer. cheers trickster

Went through this one last year!

The original induction hose dangles short in hot air! Went for an insulated silver ‘revoflex’ hose and attached it via the lotus ‘official part’ to the LHS intake. Lots of cold air now and sounds much better too!

Have a search… I posted quite a few piccies!

Worth whilst doing.

thanks for that guys. i have extended the hose into the side air intake. to feed cold air as wasnt happy that it was dangling! oo eerrrr. in the heat. was thinking on the induction side any reccomendations. what are the benefits on going to itg for example or similar. whats the general consensus on induction with these cars.

ITG Made quite a difference…to my wallet

I think it helped gain 0.0000342 HP and will be harder to clean… :frowning:…but looks good on the car spec  shame you cant see it.

Blimey, a bloke with a very high forehead, wearing a gimp mask!
