No luck with the garage…will give it a go myself…where is the bloody connector for me to top it up…help!
Remove r/h rear wheel and arch liner and It’s at at the front of the arch … Run the engine and operate a/c on cool and empty the can into the port under the black cap … I wouldn’t worry about over pressuring from an aerosol ,just fill till the can is empty … Sure, the best way is a complete vacuum and fill ,but, this will be costly …
Thanks - might give it a try…
Just to finish this thread off…
Aircon fixed perfectly by Essex Auto…only needed a couple of pipes in the sill - not the whole lot. Given I had one of their lovely light weight motorsport engine covers fitted at the same time the bill was quite reasonable…Great service from Andy Booth as always - can’t fault these guys.
Now I’m looking forward to a cool cabin at Spa and watching Mr Fox sweat as I pull past him on the Kemmel straight…only to be overtaken comming out the bottom of Pouhon…
Roll on Spa!
Matt
Corroded pipes in the sill is a common problem on pre-07/08 cars…
Can’t wait
Has anyone got pictures of these corroded pipes?
Yeah i second that, as my aircon has died.
