Air con pipes through sill

I have a leak somewhere in the system and although I haven’t confirmed from where (it’s been tested) - the sill pipes appear to be a common failure.

I can’t find the service bulletin or a guide on their replacement. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, as the car is a 2010 RGB (so a run out model as far as I know) will it already have the newer pipes from the service bulletin?

Roger

Yes it will have the newer pipes for a 2010 build. Have you had a dye test done?

Yes. Well so Williams Automobiles tell me. They cannot see any leaks. Apparently it’s okay under vacuum and also under pressure although they only had it on test for the best part of a day I think.

They replaced one of the pipes behind the front liner last year due to a pinhole leak.

It was regassed 3 weeks ago and is now inneffective.

I might talk to a local specialist. I don’t really want to remove the clam unless there is a leak confirmed in the rad.

Had mine done by Steff at Analogue Auto, pretty sure he didn’t remove the clam. 2009 car

Yeah, I had the sill pipes replaced in my 2004 111R for the upgrade ones back in 2007. A tad fiddly and time consuming to do (said the dealer) but the clams were not removed.

Shouldn’t be impossible. A decent internal bore male / male connection and plenty of lubricant they should pull through.

Do the same in some of our cnc machining centres when the hydraulics / cable conduits fracture.
