I looked into it, you need the correct ohm resistor (that will also take the current) and swap it with the ignition off. Look on the US forums as several people have done it. I was going to put it on a switch, but if you used it while the ignition was on it would trigger the mil light. In the end the car went before I had chance to do it.

I’ve taken the air bag steering wheel out and replaced it with a Momo wheel. I added a resistor (2.2ohm) and the air bag light hasn’t come on at all.

Thanks guys, sounds a the same deal as when I removed my inertia reels
Neil
can you quickly talk me through what to do?
I guess it’s all in the steering wheel centre
… bit scarred about fiddling with air bag in case it goes off.
Are you just removing the bag or changing the wheel to a non airbag wheel?
It’s a while since I done it, so from memory.
First thing I disconnected the battery.
The airbag is held to the steering wheel by some screw/bolts on the side/rear face of the wheel. Undo and slide it out then disconnect the electrical plug on the rear and place the airbag somewhere safe.
The next part depends on what route you are going with the wheel, removable or fixed?
This page here helped a lot:

Great help …thanks
