Ai image generation

I dont know if you have seen the latest “thing” to do with AI? Car model creation?

Try it yourself …

Step 1: Search “Gemini Al”

Step 2: add a photo of your car then use this prompt:

Use the nano-banana model to create a 1/7 scale commercialized figure of the car in the illustration, in a realistic style and environment. Place the figure on a computer desk, using a circular transparent acrylic base without any text.
On the computer screen, display the Brush modeling process of the figure. Next to the computer screen, place a BANDAl-style toy packaging box printed with the original artwork.

Forgive my ignorance, but is it a code for a 3d printer that this generates, or?

It’s just for a static image.

It looks pretty but does have any purpose!

Gemini getting better then. The other day I was asking it to summarise a spreadsheet within Google Sheets. Nothing complicated, I just wanted it to produce a graph. I gave it more time and prompts than I should and in the end, it would just not do it. For a laugh, I took a screengrab of the sheet and shoved the task into Grok. It got 99% close on the first go and with one more tidy up prompt it nailed it. Frustrating when it was all Google Sheets & Gemini to start with.

Anyway, that’s pretty impressive is that, it’s believeable.

We use Gemini here as the AI bit - I agree in privileged though it can be hit or miss.

Each LLM seem to have its strengths for sure

Had a go at this with my Exige and found the generated image quite interesting. Very impressed with what was generated, but the bit I found most interesting is that the image created has the standard wing mirrors on it, whereas my car has the GF Williams ones on it, and in the image uploaded.

To me that points to the tool using a reference for the car, taking certain items from that. The wheels, sun strip and number plate are all pulled in correctly (and which are all different to a standard car), so I find it interesting the wing mirrors are not pulled in.

My wheels ( 240r ) were not imported correctly.

It’s good, but not perfect

Considering just how long it would take someone to produce a decent rendering from scratch in a 3D programme (I do this as part of my day job) - the results are incredible.
