Accelerator stopper....

Prior to JSR the last place did some work and must have removed replaced lost or something but now it’s got about 50 washers on it and flapping around. Anyways size bolt and maybe a picture thanks

Accelerator stopper !!!
Lol I bet Pesky is thinking up a reply very soon…

I bet Boothy nicked it while you weren’t watching

PMSL @ Ade

come on NA owners get into yer footwells and help me out!

…not with my back

You seem to have lost all your friends and allies Jonny

The original is 55mm long with an M8 thread. A 60mm bolt should be a suitable replacement.

Cheers

And 80mm for Andy

No its cool kind of a bollox moment :frowning:. The rear two holes either side where slightly out, kind of tight between the mounts and the clam and as it was getting late I thought I’d drill clear in the morning but left the bolts in. So anyway I forgot carried on fitting the struts to the chassis the following day. Gave it the sterdy check trying to wobble the wing…SOLID but CRACK! Two 25mm hairline cracks by the rear two holes…The bollox moment ! Took it apart gave all the holes a little more clearence and sorted…but with the cracks

Wrong thread I know but this wing is quality, easy to fit (for some) and solid as a rock all the way down to the chasis and it looks a real tidy finish  :sunglasses:

Obviously it’s coming off and going back on again before you tossers see it

Know the feeling Jonny had the car on the ramps, fitted the remote stat, used an old can of paint to help support the under tray as I put it back on. Before I pushed the car off the ramps, gave it a walk round visual to make sure all tools were out of the way, opened garage door, pushed car off the ramps and BANG some TOSSER had forgotten to remove the paint pot.

Result, a nice spider web crack on the rear clam only had the car a week!

God sorry to hear that Jonny, some well placed stickers should cover that, and yes over the years I’m sure we have all done these very silly things …

Unlucky Harvey sorry to hear that Buddy.

Cheers Ade

Sounds familiar, when bought, my car had a ‘Lotus Sport’ sticker on the rear clam, a week after I got it home I cleaned it and removed said sticker … only to reveal a spider web crack about 2’’ in diameter…

There is a moral here somewhere
