A very lucky boy! (NLC)

Crickey, a beer? I’d have needed something stronger.

Talking of lucky boys and girls saw this the other night courtesy of a link on SELOC.

Holy moly! :o

This is nothing to get excited about an it’s not such an unusual event. The VSCC runs meetings for pre-war cars throughout the season and the racing and competition is real and accidents do happen. It’s a very active and competitive area with hundreds of competitors regularly competing. This particular incident was at a BOC meeting at Prescott and is, in fact, a good advert for effective risk control and management in moden motorsport, even if the car is getting on a bit. So many petrolheads overlook the excitement of Pre-war racing and sprinting and this sort of reporting sends out completely the wrong message.

Today there are 19 Bugattis racing at Cadwell Park in an eleven race programme…

Have a look at MG K3 at VSCC Cadwell Park Race 10 2012 - YouTube for a flavour of Pre-war racing.

Fantastic footage, really enjoyed that.
