This is nothing to get excited about an it’s not such an unusual event. The VSCC runs meetings for pre-war cars throughout the season and the racing and competition is real and accidents do happen. It’s a very active and competitive area with hundreds of competitors regularly competing. This particular incident was at a BOC meeting at Prescott and is, in fact, a good advert for effective risk control and management in moden motorsport, even if the car is getting on a bit. So many petrolheads overlook the excitement of Pre-war racing and sprinting and this sort of reporting sends out completely the wrong message.
Today there are 19 Bugattis racing at Cadwell Park in an eleven race programme…
