A long drive yesterday...

Guys, just to share. Yesterday i went to a job interview in Newcastle.Made the mistake of driving down in the A1. Horrible, lorries and road works. But on the way back I crossed from Newcastle to Edinburgh through the park (don’t remember the name) and after Edinburgh decided to do the long way and went through Crieff, Pitlochry, Aberfoyle, Glenshee, the usual SE run’s path.I was alone, but then I guess I needed some time alone, but my mate was there (the Exige). We felt good.At the end of the drive I was tired, drove close to 10 hrs but felt this very weird feeling. The (Uldis-Exige) combination was very fast and smooth. we were flying down the roads, completely aware of all dangers, possible vehicles around, wildlife, etc.It was kind of strange, because I felt that it was not me who was driving. I don’t normally feel or drive like that in those roads. It was like the car said: ok, relax, I’ll take over from here. In some occasions we smoothly flew over some jumps (Glenshee), we also drifted, constant G-forces felt, burnt the liners in the turns, but all on complete control and ease.Weird. Mystical feeling. On arrival I washed it. The Exige looked proud and strong. The only downside is that I warped the front disks again. Fed up with that and ordered already a couple of Ally-belled ones from Geary and a set of Pagids. Just wanted to share my day…UldisPS - Has anybody seen the film Christine?PS2 - the job interview went ok, but I’m still going to be looking.[This message has been edited by Uldis (edited 09 April 2003).]

You didnt add the number 53 to the side of your Exige recently did you ? [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]

Herbie! there you go.But that’s a refreshing way of thinking. I was previously thinking more along the lines of Christine, but too dark, too sinister. But anyway, the impression is that cars have personalities, and they like to drive every once in a while [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]Uldis

Its the Halib-orange Uldis. Works for me every time. [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/grin.gif[/image]

Sounds rather eerie, you weren’t smoking herbal cigs were you. I go up to Oban Scba diving - can’t wait for the drive North of Glasgow. Not impressed with the thought of warped front disks - should I order some now ready for moment!?

"Knight rider seen in Scotland!"you should call your Exige “Kit”.Pete

Enough of the “KITT” references !If you drive a black Exige you get tired of “where are the red lights in the front mister” and such like.Equally “What happened to Robin ?” can grind after a bit … think about it [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/smile.gif[/image]

Not to mention comments at work along the lines of :“you know you forgot to put your shields up right ?”-Gman
