A big HELLO from me.

Good Afternoon guys

Didn’t know where to post this but thought it might be appropriate to say hello before asking questions and taking up your time.

Usual stuff which with searching I have found but questions over tyre’s are top of my list as the car im looking at has Mich Pilots on which i haven’t seen before so have no idea if this should be something i should consider before signing the deal.

As you have probably gathered I haven’t as yet bought an Exige but am waiting on a deal to be done on a yellow Exige at Limpcomb Lotus which im very excited about.

Anyway live in the Portsmouth area and tbh not many round this way except for an S which ironically is just down the road from me so going to be brighting up both where i live and where i work.

Regards

Tom.

Haggle and get new tyres…good luck.

I’ve been running the Mich Pilots on my exige for last 6 months whilst I waited for some more AO48s to turn up, found that they’re fine when just driving normally but not good at all compared with the AO48’s when you start to push.
Try to get AO48s if you can.

Would highly recommend Lipscomb Lotus, I’ve used them alot and always had excellent service.

Good luck with the Exige.

Cheers guys, so its not a major problem but I would be better off with a set of 048’s?

Anything else I should consider?

Toyo R888’s.

Ok, also is there anything else i should worry about?

Would electrical gremlins put you off as the driver window didnt want to play and the air-con was a bit of a let down compared to my CS 182. The dealership has said they will fix these but. Lol. usually if it werent a main dealer I would of been put off by now.

Saying all that Jamie who I dealt with and Paul (who was unfortunately away that day) was superb and gave me all the room I needed to make my mind up… although getting a someone who had never reversed an Exige to get it out of the parking bay at the front (which is very tight) is probably giving someone like me a bit too much room to explore the close quarter handling characteristics…

Cheers Again

I wouldn’t worry too much about those things, Lipscomb will sort them and to be honest I’ve never had a lotus which hasn’t had some issues, the first time you take your exige out on a good b-road or better still on track you’ll forgive them anything!
