You and me both Mr D.
mind you the 356 would be ok and the … my god I could go on for some time.
Amazing - but also what a waste. Its clear none of them have been moved for some time and letting them get covered in bird [censored] is a real shame. What’s the story behind it?
Anyone know what these two little uns are?

I think the car nearest the camera is a Formula Junior Lotus 20 or 22, judging by the steering wheel and disregarding the wing,.
ile invest! anyone for a group buy?

If you mean the red one, not convinced it’s an S as the S badge looks to be in the wrong place (should be closer and more in line with the r in Cooper).

Steve,
I know another forum on which to get the definative answer on what they are, my initial was that it was a Lotus due to red steering wheel.
Apparently, the story behind it (currently) is that someone bought a farm with this building on it and opened it up to see what was in it and found the 180 cars (apparently the barn hadn’t been opened for almost 15 years.
That sounds a really good story - what’s the website you referred to Mark?

Steve,
Website is The Nostalgia Forum
Feedback from there is that the one at the front is probably a Formula Vee, possibly a Kaimann.
The Lotus they believe is an F3 Type 31.
Someone even posted up the history of the type 31.
That could well be right, the F3 car a budget offering from Lotus using basically the same frame as the 22 at a time when monocoques were arriving was not deemed a success in '64/65 only 12 examples were made .
A series 2 version with still further denuded specification inc steel wheels and steel brake calipers for 1966 it’s thought a further 19 were built , chassis numbered 22/f3 but officially recorded as 31s to make them eligible. Some 31s may have been destroyed in the making of ‘Grand Prix’ (though they may have been real 22s!) it was also a driving school car so no doubt some ended their days there too, some may have gone for spares for 22s…so there may not be many examples of 31s still intact.
nice one - thanks…I think i can loose myself in there for many a day
