When I had a normal de cat (rather than silenced) I got told off for being 107db on the drive by
not sure what it is with the silenced but it passes the 105db limit
id guess too loud for bedford, donny, croft, combe, goodwood. more on the drive by than static but does depend on a bunch of things - air filter, power etc
Mmm I’m interested in this too. I have a Komotec Sports cat fitted, considering a DeCat but if its going to increase the noise that much I’ll bin the idea
It will the cats take a lot of noise out
Static the car reads 101db at trackside tests, so can’t really afford to make it much louder. Some way down on my upgrade list is a GT style side exit exhaust, if I can get one with a bit more silencing qualities then perhaps I’ll be able to afford the extra DBs with a DeCat. We’ll see, but for now I’ll park the idea

Wondered how the 2bular compared and with the removal of the cat.

I just swapped a standard manifold, standard cat, and a Larini twin tip through diffuser for
a complete 2bular system - manifold, 100 cell race cat, and 8x22 GT3 H1 repackable and the result was significantly reduced noise
Before static was ~100dB first time out with the 2bular system this week at Snetterton was 95dB static
Just fitted a new 8x22 H1 thro diffuser with standard lotus cat.
At donny on Monday I got 94db static and no black flags with limit at 98db
I finally got around to fitting the 2bular 8x22 GT3 (y)
I love the look and the exposed shiny exhaust, the eliminator kit gives some extra aggressiveness that I like, but MAN ITS SOOO QUIET now after the stage 3!
I think I need a decat ASAP!
I also seem to have lost the lovely “pops and bangs” it used to produce, will this likely come back when it gets “coked up”?
Would a decat help with getting those back? Or is it down to the baffling of the back box?
My 2bular sports cat and catback still pops and burbles on overrun

I thought you wanted it quieter? The stage 3 would have been ubber noisy if it was old, the 2bular will get a little louder

I did want it quieter, but its gone from one extreme (uber loud) to the other (OEM quiet)
I want something in the middle

At the moment it’s in no way, shape or form loud! It’s actually pretty disappointing

Gt3 chambered do get louder !
Only done about 1000 miles for it to happen too…
