7hrs in an S2 ...........

…with no aircon, no carpets, no stereo =

Drove to Reverie and back yesterday - not a lot of fun. Will be worth it when my new wing arrives

Does that mean you want to sell me your old one?

Pah, I did Lucca to Calais in one stint, 15 hours! 6 of those in the pissing down rain and pitch black!! When my head hit the pillow in the hotel I still felt like I was sat in the sport seat and driving! Never again !

 aircon ? It’s winter !
Stereo ? What would sound better than a screaming Yota!
… And carpets are only there to get dirty !

You did stop didn’t you - not just a drive by

I can remember when you have spent all day in the car that the !st hour or two afterwards can feel like you are still travelling. Best remedy is to head straght for the bar/fridge for a few cold ones. :sunglasses:

Nahhh I love my softy S2, only thing I would not be using is air con. Could not do 7 hours without talk sport.

Absolutely!

I once did 8 hours straight Whitehaven to Plymouth 421 miles.

It was in a factory loaned S1 Exige with a rattling exhaust antwhere between 70-85mph. Started at 4.30am. Arrived tired and deaf in time for lunch

I’ve slept in my ‘S’!!

I know where this thread is heading…

Longest in my S2 was the Ring to Calais in one hit, wasn’t too bad at all actually.

Longest in my S1, Hmmmmmmmm, the longest I can remember was home to Anglesey in sporadic rain with Christian (Quo), Ian (IDG) and Ben (Benja). That was a cool trip.

Ben and I doing rolling burnouts, side by side in one lane, whilst sitting in a slow moving traffic queue, was a particular highlight.

Aye that was a proper trip :sunglasses:

Longest for me was 400 + mile round trip for a curry

What a load of girls!!.Do a regular run in my S2 from Worcestershire to Central France 620 miles in one hit.Even did it once in a 1300 Mk2 Escort.Longest run years ago was from central France to Sagres[Portugal] 1200 miles ,took about 18 hours but that was in a 944 turbo Porsche.

Drove a stock S1 Elise to Hamburg via Calais. Took engine out and refitted with turbo, ecu, low comp pistons over 4 days. Then drove home.

Still not aure why I didn’t take the ferry to Hamburg!

im doing nottingham to hanger111 tomorrow.

doesnt sound too bad untill you factor in the mrs sat next to me for 6 hours in total!!! yak yak yak!!!

Does she get travel sick then?

The talking gets you?
Just wait 'til just hearing them breathing riles you.

Not really dear, please take the trousers back.
