A long-time-no-see mate turned up as I was driving away, so I had to turn around…
I’ve gotta pop out this arvo though, so I might make a detour. More than likely they’ll be closed, but if its on the forecourt I can still have a look around.
I’m not suprised they can’t sell it - 25k with 26k on the clock? Granted it has Air-Con, but does that demand a premium considering its crap and most don’t want it anyway?
The mileage may be a problem for some people but the K engine justs gets better and better the more miles it has on it, how many here noticed around 10,000 miles the engine magically loosened up? the same happens at 30K and at 50K, strange isn’t it
The majority of engines will dramatically loosen and improve, especially over the first 10k miles.
I wouldn’t say the Exige will ever become “unsellable” - as was mentioned in an older thread its a future classic - but like most people, a car with lower mileage will always be more attractive and demand a higher price.
But 25k seems a bit OTT for the car in question when we’ve just seen (albeit maybe with some hidden history on first appearance) an example with 7k miles sell for 21k.
That was a fluke, it can’t hapen again, a guy that needed money immediately.I refuse to believe our cars are going to be worth less that 28K, but hey!, I don’t plan on ever selling mine
you have to think what the guy must have chopped it in for at the dealer in the first place - 18k, 19k??? Pretty confident that my 23-24k budget should get me a belter in Sept…
