Cayman S is a great little car, prefered it to the old mans 997 C4S
M3 I feel lacks the low down punch for a road car (well relative to a C63) but the because the engines really setup for track.

It is possible to get 500hp from a TTRS without spending a fortune (a guy at work has one) and it is mighty fast in a straight line, but show it a corner and it gets very scary indeed.
If I liked Porsche it would be a Gayman if I could not afford a 911
I know a couple of guys with TTRS and the understeer is easily sorted. New arb and decent tyres. It would have to be a new Caymen for me if you want a one car fits all.
I use to have a TTRS - remapped to approx 400bhp. Very fast car indeed, more so than the headline bhp would have you believe. Downside (apart from the image) was the understeer, but maxing out the negative camber on the front and a set of H&R arbs does go a long way in sorting this. Engine is an absolute corker and worth buying for that alone. The cayman is in another league though in terms of handling (I have a Cayman R).
I hear great reports of the Cayman but I really don’t like the look of the rear end.
I DO however really like the 911 997 Gen 2 Carerra…its also quite economical and is in the same tax band as my Exige.
A 2009 Carerra can be had for low 30’s now.
mmmmm
IPS Evora S will be in the same tax band as a 240/260 Exige too, plus it will have the added benefit of being neither an Audi or a fookin Porker
I can’t imagine running costs will be much different & less than the pork?
Lol … I see your point .
I reckon the back of that S3 looks like the back of a Ford Anglia !!
The back of the S3 makes me think they forgot the number plate till just before the first road test, just when the guy with the plates came round and said " where exactly do I put the back one? You don’t seem to have left a space" and the back is too long
One of the ‘offers’ I’ve had lol …
Fook right off !!!
Hi John,
Sounds really nice, I like the car a lot.
I would like to go to Birmingham and have a look. However I’m from Stuttgart, Germany and have to go by plane, to take back the car to Germany.
So we have to organize everything in a short time. What about the paymant? Can we split it? I’m paying the first half, when I take the car and the second half when I’m back and everything is fine with the car via bank transfer?
Hope to here from you soon.
Best regards
what a tw@t!
Sounds OK to me!!! Is the payment via Western Union, with the funds coming from his Nigerian lottery win?
Edit … just seen the 2014 Cayman …OMG , very nice indeed.
