6 speed and 6 speed sequential boxes soon

Noticed on Race-Speed.com that these new Quaife gearboxes should be on sale this week…Cheers

About time too !! They’ve been promising the cheaper sequentials for over 18 months now.I won’t hold my breath until they have them in stock !

I’ll pretend i didn’t see this [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/blush.gif[/image]

They will be on the site tomorrow morning, when I can stop watching telly and do some work :-)Dont hold your breath with the cheap bit though - six speed synchro (h-box) is 2750, and the sequential is 3950.I drove a car with a ‘real’ sequential box a few weeks ago (ie not the rubbish that goes into Porches etc…). I can guarentee it will take more time off your laps than an extra 50bhp.cheers!Owen

Maybe the way you drive it does [image]http://www.exiges.com/ubb/NonCGI/images/icons/wink.gif[/image]Seriously though, when I enquired about a final price to fit a 6-spd sequential, I was looking at circa 9K all-in.Quaife were working on a version which uses the standard casing and was going to be half that price. Which one are you referring to ?

Does anyone knows if this gearbox needs clutchaction or is it F1 style without using the left foot ?

you still need a left foot.

its in a new casing. I have heard something may come out in the future to put into a standard casing - but its not arriving yet as far as I know. You will be able to shift up with no clutch - not sure about downshifts though.Yes you are probably right about my driving
