52MPG

Now, i’m not really one for mpg figures when it comes to my Loti as lets be honest we don’t really buy them for that reason. But on my drive over to Bruntingthorpe last week, I filled up at the Tesco’s in Dudley and then drove to Bruntingthorpe, it was rush hour ish, so was averaging between 60 and 80 mph. Not knowing how much we would be doing at Brunters, I filled up again at a station about 3 miles away from the runway and I could only get in 4.7 litres. Just looked at the mileage and I reckon the car did about 52mpg!!!

Thats what a wideband lambda and a good bit of closed loop mapping on the Syvecs does for ya!!!

Sean…

Thats about the same as lotus claim on a run

Tis why I reckon an Exige will be performance car heaven when fuel becomes as rare as in mad max !

Have you filed again , just to be sure filler did not cut offf prematurely?

Bloody good figs if real, vhpd good for only low 20s.

deffo didn’t click off early, as I thought that and i was trickling it in to make sure it was full.

Sean , I think you need more wing cos you’re clearly running low drag settings !

New wing setup will be on for Anglesey.

I am going FULLY homosexual to go with the soft top!!

This the S2?

I don’t find it too surprising. High gear, low revs, low weight, gentle acceleration, appropriately mapped engine.

I could easily get high 30s from my K on a steady run. Haven’t checked the Honda.

Never know quite how much fuel is in my S1(standard VHPD) due to the vagaries of the fuel guage but I’m pretty sure it’s into the 30mpg range.

The only time i saw 50mpg was in a bog standard S1 Elise.

standard ecu…you’re kidding yourself or only ever driving downhill…

I dunno I always found mine got me around that on a steady run.

You’ll have to get SimonE to confirm now though.

PS. Once worked out 8mpg on track with it.
