£43K Exige

Been looking round JCT600’s highly modded S2 Exige in their Leeds showroom today. Apparently its a replica of the one make series Exiges to be run in Euroland this year.

Great paintscheme, full roll cage, fire extinguisher, motorsports interior, wheels, etc. Owner offloaded it after just 400 miles! - now for sale at a fiver shy of �43k. It really does look the business though…

It put the adjacent red Enzo totally to shame

Seems a tad expensive to me

OK I did go and look at it - the spec is quite impressive:

*6 point FIA rollcage
*sport seats- with upgrade to drivers race seat (�855!)
*4 point harnesses - with upgrade to drivers 6 point (�600!)
*electric fire system
*int & ext elec kill switches
*accusump oil control system
*2 way adj Ohlins
*LSD
*uprated clutch
*lighter wheels (custom painted black)
*s/steel brake hoses, upgraded pads & fluid (�500)
*Stage 1 exhaust (�500)

All up a retail value of �46,201.84 (inc VAT). The car is being sold for a customer who had the car delivered to him, has done no mileage in it and now wants it sold. Delivery mileage was @300 miles.

Seems to still have std 2 pots up front, i would have expected 4 pots on a proper cup car with bias adjustment, especially since it has the trick suspension.

Also not sure if i like stripes on exiges, but thats just me. suppose the could have been blue stripes so it’s not to bad.

Looks like the motorshow car pictured on here previously.

Wilson’s Lotus has a fairly standard (Touring pack/Krypton green) Exige on sale for �36.6K…& 3000miles old. Is there something going on we have not been told

Or are all the salesmen actually S1 owners who are trying to keep up residuals

Yep- calipers loked liked standard fare to me - but then car is road legal so no chance of the Motorsport setup…

So they’ve got all the original bits available too have they?! So you could sell them on eBay/Exiges.com and re-coup some of the cost? I expect not.
