4 year service 15k

Just need to check what needs to be done…I’m sure cam belts top job but if anyone could shed some light to confirm and/or anything else please? Tar Jonny

I thought it had a cam chain? Dunno how long it lasts though? Forever? Are you sure your not thinking about k-series cars?
4 years is just a coolant change extra I think.

Also; 15k in 4 years!

I’ve just squeaked past 17k in 4 years !

I should of asked the right person first off, I’ve got the cam belt thing from somewhere just can’t find where? I’m reading/scanning the service notes (on other things) I’m seing cam chain (but not going into it)…kind of why I’m asking the question…just being lazy?

To be clear after speaking with Russ at Lotus Motor it’s a chain 100k life span! So what else, I’ll change my rear toe links first off

Just had the 4th year done. Nothing special. Oil change and got the brake fluid changed too. see www.psrautomotive.com for costs

Think the yota should go on forever really …
I’ve not heard of any weak area’s

A bit different I know, but MAN (trucks) guarantee their engines will not need any overhaul work for at least 1.5 Million KM’s !!

And my Golf has done 215,000 miles and runs as good as new !!!

LOL 4 years and 15k miles.

Mine has done 60k miles in 4 years. Toyota engine doesn’t have a cambelt

Just make sure the oil is changed every 10k road miles or every 3 track days.

Cheers Mark, I set the Ohlins to proper recommended tracks setting for Donnington (left the ARB in pos 1)AND IT WAS AWESOME! I’ve had them on 240R track settings via the service notes for while which runs quite soft but yesterday it all felt great…so much faster. I’m still learning right but to start with I couldn’t get the braking right at all, I was braking way to hard and early when the car could clearly carry loads more speed through the bend. Had it sorted 2nd/3rd time out and then lost it a little during a pax with Neil. The only under steer I had was me missing the odd apex! Hardly any roll…GREAT

Be interesting to get Neils opinion on the feel of both cars “Ohlin-Nitron” wise…as he can pedal and bloody quick too!

Car was using a lot of oil. Piston rings shot. Now the engine was probably like this when I bought it which is a case of Caveat Emptor. A bit miffed but I don’t mind now as I have a sparkly new lump in there which is tight as you like…way, way better than before. Also confident that this one will cope with the katana when she comes.

Yes I would be very interested, I presume it need a total overhaul? PM me if you are interested in selling it please? I want to build a low compression engine so it would be ideal as a base.
