Please to say that my 1900K is up and running (well, to be honest it has been since July/August!!) and enjoying it massively.
I needed to do a little more work to it as Emerald had noted that it was going lean @ 6500rpm and I had maxed my standard fuel pump out and the 240cc injectors.
A Walbro255 has now been fitted (horrible time consuming job)
but i’m struggling to find the right injectors for the standard K series fuel rail (currently on DTH 45mm PTP bodies)
Can anyone help? Dave Walker said that I will need 310-330cc injectors. I’ve looked at RC injectors but got a little confused as to which type I needed and they aren’t that cheap either.
Could anyone point me in the right direction or even have any knocking about I could buy?
Have a look on here for an example:-clicky The nearest size to what you’ve asked for are the 380cc ones, unfortunately the 330cc Pico injectors are much shorter (47mm v 65mm) and won’t fit the standard rail. Just looking on the RC website it’s easy to get confused with the amount of choice on there! - Essentially for an easy straight swap you need the high impedance type with an EV1 connector, just need to find the correct cc so the nearest on RCs site would be these:- clicky
Alternatively you could get away with smaller injectors if you raised the fuel pressure though it would likely be a seriously large raise (to over 5 bar) to get 240cc up to the equivalent of 310cc and it may then go and cause issues at lower revs/idling.
rover T16 injectors came in 380cc(dizzy) and 460cc(waisted spark) flavours, high impedance so no need for dropping resistors with some ecu’s( not familiar enough with emerald stuff) drop straight into a k-series fuel rail, same bosch connector, and if you get a set and have them cleaned and tested itll still work out less than a set of RC’s
I’ve got a couple of sets of VW/Audi 317 cc injectors. They look like the one’s in the top of the pic above except that they are black. As used in Steve Butts and Dave Skeggs engines amongst others. �80 for the set + �5 pp.
Many thanks for the offer Bernard, I’ve just managed to get hold of some injectors from the website that Azrael mentioned (injector tune)cross referencing them shows they are from a Calibra Turbo (etc) flowing 310cc.
