Hi all, Im just wondering if anyone elses car does this?
Starting the car up from cold not touching the throttle it revs to 3000rpm then drops straight down to a 1000rpm idle. Totally fine when warmed through although revs do tend to hang on a little when going through the gears. Its a 2007 exige s. Cant do the motor a lot of good i dont think. Any thoughts? Have only had the car a month or so and has always done it. Just wondering if this is normal.
Both of my exiges have done something similar - stopped taking any notice now
Not sure it’s 3000 rpm - I’ll check next time I start it up

Normal. Annoys the neighbours when started in the garage in the early hours!
