3" Lotus Exige V6 Exhaust - New Product!

Absolutely estatic to reveal one of our latest projects for the Lotus Exige V6.

Exige V6 3" Backbox!

With the massive help of our good friends over at Performance Autocare we have spent the last couple of months going back and forth to try and make this backbox as perfect as possible. From fitment to the sound, we decided early on that we wanted the most rebust and reliable system on the market so we made this system a 1 piece system which eliminates the need of any extra joints as they are just an area which can leak over time when gaskets wear out and disintergrate!

We spent a long time tweaking sound, we spent countless hours
tweaking the size of the silencer to give a nice tone to the system, loud does not equal a nice sound. One of our main goals when designing this backbox was to make sure this exhaust was track friendly and i think we have acomplished that! (details below)

We have dyno’d the car back to back and we saw an impressive 25bhp gain from just swapping the backbox, the dyno operator commented that the original system was slighly hesitant to rev out, with the new backbox the revs were free and the car revved up very quick and smooth! the OEM backbox is obviously very restrictive high up the rev range.

The decision was made to make the backbox repackable, which coincidentaly makes ours the only repackable 70mm Exige system currently in the world! However, because we have opted to use high temperature Acoustafil sound deadening the need to open the silencer back up is going to be very rare, but we decided to make sure to future proof the system as best we can and add it anyway.
Finished off with twin carbon tail pipes we think it also looks the part!

Sound Levels (Static @ 1 metre)
OEM 92db @ 4000RPM
OURS 96db @ 4000RPM

we havent finalised the price as yet, but the way its looking it will be the cheapest on the market!

Great to see another solution. Noise levels seem low for the size silencer.

My non valved track exhaust on my 350 was about twice the size but pushed out 100db on static so great if you’ve got it that low for the size

yea, we thought the same but we tested it about 5 times and the result was the same each time.

you can hear on the video its not overly loud.

Looks and sounds great! Love the fact its repackable as well.

I’ll be on the market for one in the near future. Have you done any testing with it on the 380/410 and 430 models yet?

Unfortunately, no, i’m dying to get it on one and see what the sound levels are like, also the powergains too. It will be one of those things which will get done the next time we get access to one.

unless someone buys one and lets us know in the mean time.

When I actually get time to run mine in and first service done I’ll be in touch about one, thats if you haven’t already had one in by then anyway

Im going to do an initial group buy to start with…

Should save around £200 for the unit.
