Deciding on new backbox for exige s.
Have 260 upgrade, 4-1 manifold, sports cat, or decat.
Thinking either 6 x 18 or 7 x 22 (ultra core) what’s peoples thoughts noise levels etc?
I’ve got Jim’s GT3 de-cat and love it! But I also got the 8 X 24 box… I think. Also get id Zircoated (ceramic)…great stuff!
Go for the biggest, repackable back box possible if you want to do trackdays.

A bit of thinking gives you really quiet with 2 silencers.
Loud with 1 silencer.

yes but you have more chance of getting to see the queens backside than getting the guy who made that to do others…

Agreed, just could not get it sorted either so 2bular made me a dual box system, 2nd one is fitted outside the car, not as nice as that but does the job.

I think so…but I really don’t have a way of quantifying my engineering knowledge of material properties…short of buying another that is not coated and instrumenting the engine bay. I know it works and don’t need to prove it anybody else that doesn’t understand engineering material properties…because I’m not selling anything. I asked Jim to do this for me. He didn’t sell the idea to him, I asked for it…
One of the many manifolds I had did not have the coating, and the inside of the boot floor and boot front bulkhead was a lot hotter, nothing scientific but hotter 
calm down dear he was just asking if it made much difference
I think anything the helps a lotus engine bay is good, but do consider unless its coated to the tail it is just moving the hat further down the system.
