Just finishing off the exiges Christmas list. Does anyone run full 2bular system with the 260 map? I’m interested in buying one but I’m worried about the afr readings being on the lean side Before I go spending on bits that will cause me a headache.
I am… I also got the Really Light Stuff plate type intercooler, Really Light Stuff 3" supercharger pulley and Simply Sports Cars intake system (any 3" CAI is an improvement, if I was to do it again, I’d get the Reverie Daytona))…the car ran very well. Then I changed out the injectors from 440s (OEM 260) with 525s and then the car ran fantastic!
I had success with 550 cc injections and either a 2.8 or a 2.9 pulley.
Standard 260 map , ran superb with either pulley , just choose your flavour.
up to 320 bhp.
I’m pretty much running this setup but with a hanger 111/komotech ecu (suspect its just a 260 anyway) Mine ran pretty lean up top and lower power than expected. I’m thinking its probably due to the injectors nearing max duty so will be looking for a set of 550’s myself, which ones are plug and play?
surely their has to be a better option than sticking random ECU’s in, creating a lean condition by making it breathe better, then going ‘ahh here’s 25% more fuel’ with bigger injectors?
Wop a syvecs or similar P&P solution in, and enjoy a properly resolved machine, at a cost of course.
Or use Essex Autosport for a bespoke map on the standard ECU, a well proven solution, my car is 300hp with a 2.9" pulley, exhaust system and 550cc injectors
There was no stock motor sport ECU from the factory, just the EFi road car version, that Lotus have full control over. You have any pictures of the ECU fitted to your car?
