Any tips on cleaning? the inlet pipe is a mess and the tail pipe has gone cruddy too and Autosol won’t shift it.
So at the risk of lots of piss taking about driving before cleaning is there something I can use to get the shine back?
I am thinking something like brasso rags or that 3M cloth us heating engineers use to clean copper tube but less agressive.

I heard Pesky mention that Anusol is better for cleaning up yer tailpipe!

I have read that if you exceed 260.1 bhp the exhaust becomes impossible to clean!

BTW Boothy , did you get the track day rubber off your ventureshield? How?

Not yet :frowning:

Did you try? Mine is covered in it too and I would like to remove it!!!

Not yet mate, going to try scratch remover on it. Usually works a treat on stuff.

Try WD40 for removing rubber marks from bodywork…

Does it work on latex too?

Try this stuff

Is that not just similar to Autosol? I was thinking more along the lines of a mild abrasive cloth?

Autoglym Tar Remover ffs lol! I said before, it wipes straight off bodywork and everything.

Dunno, it’s what all the best detailers are using now. You’ll need a powered polisher for sure. It will come back up to the original shine though.

Clay bar worked for me.

I use T Cut as suggested by my local car valet

Brillo pad works a treat to get the shine back - it brought my old 2bular up like new.
