260 S/C Elise Race Car 2010 (new build)

My Elise race car is up for sale if anyone is interested, It’s the car I ran at Anglesey this year.

Its a new build car on a unregistered 2010 chassis. It could be IVA’d for road use with some additional electrical work, nothing too major. I have already built in spare capacity/switches/relays etc that you’d just need to connect to.

Lets put it this way, you won’t go any quicker, in anything newer for any cheaper!!

Pm’s with interest invited as a direct sale!

Gorgeous track car built to the highest standards, that’s for sure :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Cheers Rob. It was built to be my own race car, no corners cut anywhere.

The dealer was a bit iffy about having it on the forecourt until he saw it… (i think he was expecting a bashed up old p.o.s tbh)

He couldn’t wait to get it photo’d and online!

Looks a stunning car Gav :sunglasses:

Some one is going to get a bargain track car there

That is an awesome vehicle.

If I was in the market for a mixed track/road car or a race car I’d buy that, absolute steal given the quality of build. It’s almost too nice to race!

Given they are paying 25k for a 111R/Exige production car that have been “well used” it really is a give away what with every electrical and mechanical being all but new.

Seriously…

Someone make me a silly offer before the end of the month I’ll probably take it!!

there will be change for a trailer!!

This car is simply stunning so well put together its show car quality finish not what you would expect from a race car

Stunningly finished Gav, those wheels work well on it… if only it was LHD

Cheers Wes,

Yes the wheels and the body colour give it a retro 70’s look.

I wasnt a big fan of the colour when I first got the car (doors and sills were painted in it) but as it all came together I really started to warm to it.

It does look stunning in the flesh I must admit.

Im sure Gave has a similar LHD version if you’re serious Wes!!!

all four rings lit as tail lamps, simple wiring change?

Surely someone has bought this by now?

Easy on the loom, just a couple of changes to pin out, cut, solder, etc, normally ends up with the whole rear light loom stripped back, modified, repined and re-wrapped, takes a couple of hours, depending on how well wrapped the OE loom is. You need a new rear fog solution and 2 x new outer lamps to fit to the inner position.

ah so no reusing the inners then, makes sense.

as john says, no fog light or reverse light.

the car has a FIA rear fog light unit wired in but still requires a small 90 bracket to mount it inside the clam with the rest of the lights (forgot it on the list of parts) and has no reverse lights at all.

John had to fully remake the rear loom for this car. When I laid the original one in, the cable lengths were wrong and trailing all over. it looked messy with it being all on show so john completely remade it. You cant see the wires at all now unless you look hard enough.

You could just about be on for mot’s with 1 reverse light and 1 fog in the inner lamps centres, using a red bulb on the o/s/r.

first three minutes or so

Well it has been bought by the very first man to drive it ( not that i expected anything differnt tbh).

Sad to see her go mind, but it has freed up some funds for the next project.

Watch this space!

Good news Gav, my only surprise is it took so long. Is the lucky new owner anyone we know?

I’m excited to see a thread starting on the latest project from the Gav Labs

Any update on the GTE?
