My Elise race car is up for sale if anyone is interested, It’s the car I ran at Anglesey this year.
Its a new build car on a unregistered 2010 chassis. It could be IVA’d for road use with some additional electrical work, nothing too major. I have already built in spare capacity/switches/relays etc that you’d just need to connect to.
Lets put it this way, you won’t go any quicker, in anything newer for any cheaper!!
Given they are paying 25k for a 111R/Exige production car that have been “well used” it really is a give away what with every electrical and mechanical being all but new.
Seriously…
Someone make me a silly offer before the end of the month I’ll probably take it!!
Yes the wheels and the body colour give it a retro 70’s look.
I wasnt a big fan of the colour when I first got the car (doors and sills were painted in it) but as it all came together I really started to warm to it.
Easy on the loom, just a couple of changes to pin out, cut, solder, etc, normally ends up with the whole rear light loom stripped back, modified, repined and re-wrapped, takes a couple of hours, depending on how well wrapped the OE loom is. You need a new rear fog solution and 2 x new outer lamps to fit to the inner position.
the car has a FIA rear fog light unit wired in but still requires a small 90 bracket to mount it inside the clam with the rest of the lights (forgot it on the list of parts) and has no reverse lights at all.
John had to fully remake the rear loom for this car. When I laid the original one in, the cable lengths were wrong and trailing all over. it looked messy with it being all on show so john completely remade it. You cant see the wires at all now unless you look hard enough.
