260 opgrade

How do I know a car is fitted with the 260 upgrade?

I have no comprising car and the (old) ECU doesn’t give a clue (no sticker or what so ever…

Cheers

Q.

Get Lotus dealer to plug it in.

Or let someone who has driven a 220, 240 and 260, won’t be long in confirming I would think. Or get it on a RR.

Ask previous owner?

I am the owner…
Paid for the upgrade…
But if I sell how am I able to proof it is done…

Feel change in the “lightness” of the trottle response but this is due the lighter flywheel.

Hoped there would be a 260CUP sticker instead of the now 240CUP stricker on the ECU.

Hi,

I had mine done in April.

I went from 220 to 260.

Surly you have a invoice for all the parts required… Mine was injectors, fuel pump and ecu reflash at lotus
. I also got all my original parts back so I knew the work was done.

^^^ this

I thought it was totally obvious from a seat of the pants perspective when I went from 220 to about 250hp, 240hp to 260hp might be harder to notice though

240 to 260 is still noticeable as there is much more mid range torque than the mere 20 bhp would suggest…

Yes, got flywheel, cover and pump… but ECU is still the same.

My ecu still looks the same as it was sent back to Hethel to be reflash with the 260 map.

I doubt of they put a new sticker on it.

Invoice is all you need?

They did on mine!!

Really Dave,

Will have to have a look down and see if mine has then

Im pretty sure I checked when it came back and it was the same.

I had no documents to say mine was, just the advertisement from Hangar111…

Strange how some folks don’t keep receipts/invoices etc etc…

Normally I hide mine from the other half

Another improvement on the CUP260s only is the light weight intercooler tubes… since the ODs are the same, the ID is larger and smoother. The normal Exige intercooler tubes are cast (rough walls also) and the light weight tubes are deep drawn tubes… that must be worth some HP…not a butch, but a definite part of the upgrade.
