260 Cup springs and geo

All,

Can someone please share the 260 cup geo and springs specs please.

Cheers!

Rog

If you are at a total loss I have a set of the optional S2 Exige Ohlins springs and dampers from the RGB - not sure if they are the same? I could dig them out and find the spring spec if you want.

Thanks for the offer.

I had my Ohlins (also from RGB) refurbed by Aurok to the std spec.

I was hoping to be able to lower it by converting to the 260 spec but no one could confirm what that was and I didn’t want an unknown and untested hybrid.

Give Russ at Mick Gardner Racing an email. I think he will have built all of the Ohlins dampers for Lotus so will know what’s what.

I did have an initial chat with him and followed up with an email copying in Russ/Ross at Lotus (ex motorsport). Neither came back to me which was disappointing.

Never mind though. The dampers were refurbed and it’s back on the ground

Standard geo on the 240R was
Ride height 120mm front and rear.
Front Springs 325lbs/in
Rear Springs 425lbs/in

Recommended road settings
Front: Bump P11 Rebound P8
Rear Bump P15 Rebound P15

Recommended Track settings (starting point)
Front Bump P11 Rebound P8
Rear Bump P10 Rebound P12

Anti rollbar in middle position.

Gav (tarmac terrorist) is the man to speak to, I bought mine off him and he had them set up to the 260cup spec before they were sent out. A true gent of a guy

Jamie, its a small world. I sat next to Gav during the dinner at the Anglesey day recently although by that point I’d given up trying to work it out and had the Ohlins refurbed to std spec. Roger

Lol didn’t notice it was you there Roger  small world indeed!

80nm front
105nm rear

Ohlins damper lengths & spring rates
Easiest way to tell is to simply measure the dampers (measurements are centre of the top end eye to centre of bottom end eye)

Exige 240 & pp

Front 337mm/57nm
Rear 414mm/74nm

Exige Cup 260 -

Front 327mm/80nm
Rear 404mm/105nm

2-11 std ( i think the 211 has shorter length wishbones too)

Front 316mm/80nm
Rear 384mm/105nm

Picture shows 260 cup springs with locking collars set at std ride height for 240 springs. The cup springs are shorter both front and rear.

To convert a set of 240 shocks to 260 spec it’s valves, shock length & springs. I need to get my shock lengths sorted, so i can run a lower ride height.
