Well the guy on the Lotus stand at the motor show said, and I quote, I wouldnt bet against an Exige R…"
Could that be the car…
David
PS. You should probably take what he said with a pinch of salt .
Then he was not from Lotus, they only ever say “No, no plans to make anything else…ever”
Ian
A friend of mine is a dealer over here in the states, he just returned from a trip to Hethel. He says that the supercharged version of the Exige is coming next spring.
“No, no “plans” to make anything else…ever”
Speak to plans motorsport… better induction, intercooler, exhaust., limited slip diff, better dampers = 240 and more grip.

Is that a conversion or series of upgrades from Plans?

If Plans have a SC conversion on offer, what does it cost? If not I think there would be lots of takers if you could come up with one at a reasonable price

Especially if it fits the 111R as well
Tim.
Is there really room under the hatch of a 111R?! I thought it was one of the main reasons they made the S2 Exige in the first place (and it only just fits in there!).

Maybe it will be produced in a “limited” run of 50 examples, thereafter in an unlimted run at a more reasonable price .
The Bemani SC conversion uses a charge cooler mounted near the exhaust rather than an intercooler on top of the engine, so would fit the 111R. And even if you were to use an air to air intercooler I dont see why that couldn’t sit in the offside engine air vent - there is plenty of room in there and it probably gets at least as much air going into it as the roof vent. Personally I think there is a lot to be said for retaining at least some rear visibility rather than blocking it completely with the intercooler as Lotus have done.
Mark
Isn’t the Lotus s/c the only one that won’t fit the 111R (AKA a ploy to differentiate the two models )
Tim.
