As you guys know, I have recently purchased a 06 plate exige S so believe it must be the 220 version. Could you tell me what was invovle to get the power gains from the 240 version?
Also if I were to go the gotham route (injectors and remap) what sort of power output should i expect?
No point in going to the 240, either the Chris Neil 260 upgrade or the Gotham is the right way, the Gotham gives around 255hp and the CN about 260hp, they are both similar in having a remap to fully open the throttle and larger injectors to cope. not sure of price differences though.
Not sure on the Gotham costs but the CN,s is around 2.5k
You’ll need injectors, fuel pump, remap and I’d recommend the TRD clutch as well
After that you can go TRD air box, lightened flywheel & uprated intercooler for a nice ‘safe’ 260 ish.
Not sure where you are in the country so that might be the deciding option
If you look at CN,s give Paul a call - top man (for a main dealer) !!!
I’m in essex so only about 40mins from sinclaires /ea. Called them earlier, was told about 1450 for Gotham tune which involves remap and 440 injectors, should be about 250-260 at fly.
with Gotham, 2bular manifold, decat, GT3 box, mine read 257 at the wheels on Owen developments rolling road last year, only got hard copy of readings so can’t post. At 7k power starts to drop off. A good thing to know when driving on track
Exhaust will be one of the first things on my to do list. Ideally want it quiet at cruising, with a roar under full throttle, maybe a little burble at low speeds?
On full throttle my old vxt used to pop rather loudly during gear change, sounded great
I had a 220S until a week ago when i visited EA and had Wayne fit 440cc injectors, unlock the ECU and map the car giving me 243bhp @ wheels with 164lb/ft.
I’ve got a Forge IC, 440cc, TRD Filter, ECU remap, 2bular 4-1 + Decat and H2 Trackday GT3.
