220-260 upgrade, CN or EM or any other?

Which is cheapest and decent? Anyone nr Nottingham that can do the upgrade?

Thanks in advance

If you’re just looking to go to 260 and not much further I’d be going to CN’s - Lotus main dealer with lots of 260 power upgrades done with no apparent issues - see previous threads by Boothy, JFK etc

If you ever want to go beyond 260 the syvec ECU through JSR looks like the next best bet.

Remember the jump to 260 is mega cheap bang for your buck - every BHP beyond 260 get’s more and more expensive

Nice one thanks, I asked for a price from CN’s but not had a response, would like the option to go further though

Best crack open the piggy bank then - 220 to 260 will be around 1500 to 2000 as a bare minimum for the power increase but you should also factor in brakes, fluids, accusump or other oil starvation prevention to be safe at 260

260 to 300 is another 5000 to 7000 - gearbox, pulley’s, injectors, manifolds, increased cooling - and then it get’s really expensive

I can certainly recommend CN. I took my car to them for a 260 upgrade, & it came back with 293BHP! The car is unbelievable.

I’m in Nottm too, so more than happy to let you have a blat in mine if you want to try before you buy. Also, if you want costing details, PM me & I’ll let you have all my info.

Cheers

Megabux to change up, megabux to upgrade, ruddy thing

Would you sell and add the money to change and get something like a GTR or keep and upgrade?

Do upgraded exiges sell okay?

ta

Upgrade cost was about 2k, but that included the recommended Forge Intercooler. I’ll send you the figures when I get chance to dig the out.

Not tracked it yet, but the performance is outrageous.

I don’t think such upgrades cause a problem when selling, as so many examples do get tweaked in some way.

I think most 2nd hand Exige buyers expect or even demand certain ‘approved’ upgrades. Where it gets more difficult is when people add ‘personal’ touches etc. These are normally removed and sold to like minded tuners etc.

The approved CN 260 upgrade can only value to your car IMHO

Are you talking about your dodgy Canards Chris?

Did you purchase a load of small rubber bungs to go in the screw holes in your clam, when you remove them??

Even with the cost to upgrade still doesn’t come close to what you would spend on a GTR, then you need to run a GTR…

I bet if I put them in the for sale section at the right price they’d fly out the door !!!

I could then use the cash to fill the holes in my clam

Agree totally. I took my 2010S + PP to CN’s last month and saw 296bhp and 196lb.ft on the dyno. Literally new ecu, fuel pump, TRD air box and 2bular silencer is all I have changed.

Be interesting to see the coast down figures they are using to give you ~290hp without a smaller pulley? Just I know how hard it is to get there without a lot of other work.

WGT use optimistic correction…
Hub figures are the way to truly compare gains after firstly doing a base run…

This. But marks s2 showed 290 and was about 250 at the hubs iirc

297 it was

But yep I agree very optimistic people shouldnt really use the flywheel corrected figure as you make that whatever you want!
