I see the Premier Inn is now open for guests who live in Wales, so looking positive for when we are there, provided the track itself is allowed to open.
Crossing fingers this goes ahead now, one of the MX5 I bought is not well (failed wheel bearing or diff) I have no time to get it fixed so I have bought another cheap one! Crossing my fingers this one is ok, I collect it Saturday!
Just gave them a ring.
Rooms are fine.
They haven’t decided yet if the restaurant will be open for outside dinning. That would be the only way that the bar would serve, too.
If not open , then it’s delivery service for food.
The long and short of it is 2x30 minutes session and no guests or second drivers isn’t really going to work for us
This leaves us in the lurch completely as I can’t be a 2nd driver to my son so I can teach him, also Steve is not able to be mine if I left the bookings as they are.
I realise there are very limiting factors going on here and the rules are the rules, so it looks likely we will have to cancel, unless a miracle happens and we get to have one guest IE me as a Joe’s teacher for the day.
To say I’m gutted is an understatement, I’ve bought two cars and prepared them specially for this event hoping to get my son out on a track day with sensible people around him
That’s seriously bad news, Ade, sorry to hear it. Is there not to be an a further announcement from the Welsh government today (22nd) which might ease matters further?
