2021 Exiges track day

For now, I’ll keep hold of my place. Hopeful that Wales will follow in the path of Scotland.

My hope remains to stay at the Bull.

Fingers crossed for The Bull too, a big highlight of the trip is piling up in that courtyard after a blat across Wales.

Hopefully see you guys soon :crossed_fingers:

Hear, hear!

Anyone mind sharing where you lot are staying?

I’m in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, easy for you to say

An airbnb on the north of the Anglesey

Rules permitting, I’ll be staying at the Bull at Llangefni.

At the Bangar Premier Inn of its open. If not then just the other side of the bridge in a small cottage.

Prem Inn or back of the tow car

I see the Premier Inn is now open for guests who live in Wales, so looking positive for when we are there, provided the track itself is allowed to open.

Crossing fingers this goes ahead now, one of the MX5 I bought is not well (failed wheel bearing or diff) I have no time to get it fixed so I have bought another cheap one! Crossing my fingers this one is ok, I collect it Saturday!

That is a step in the right direction.

Check your inboxes folks, important email out this morning about the Anglesey day.

In short, no family/guests/passengers/tuition allowed - so if anyone here planned on travelling over with a +1… worth reconsidering.

Day also to be split into two groups:

Intermediate / Advanced session
Novice / Intermediate session

Need to get back to Paul to confirm which group you want to be in, or whether you want a refund.

Any further dates for further updates re the Prem Inn?

https://www.premierinn.com/gb/en/covid-19.html

Open for all guests from 12 April apparently.

Good spot, thank you.
Back in business, I’ll get the first round.

Just gave them a ring.
Rooms are fine.
They haven’t decided yet if the restaurant will be open for outside dinning. That would be the only way that the bar would serve, too.
If not open , then it’s delivery service for food.

Looks bad for us :frowning:

The long and short of it is 2x30 minutes session and no guests or second drivers isn’t really going to work for us

This leaves us in the lurch completely as I can’t be a 2nd driver to my son so I can teach him, also Steve is not able to be mine if I left the bookings as they are.

I realise there are very limiting factors going on here and the rules are the rules, so it looks likely we will have to cancel, unless a miracle happens and we get to have one guest IE me as a Joe’s teacher for the day.

To say I’m gutted is an understatement, I’ve bought two cars and prepared them specially for this event hoping to get my son out on a track day with sensible people around him

That’s seriously bad news, Ade, sorry to hear it. Is there not to be an a further announcement from the Welsh government today (22nd) which might ease matters further?

I’m crossing my fingers something gives, my last chance to cancel is Saturday, so I’m working on the cars to make sure they are ready just in case.
