2021 Exiges track day

A good point. My Airbnb booking is just an insurance policy as I would much rather be at The Bull.

Bit off topic, but I see Croft is sold out for July now.

My Airbnb booking has been cancelled and refunded as the host wonā€™t take bookings or hold the booking in case restrictions change. So, in short, weā€™re buggered!

And thatā€™s a double bugger cos I thought I might swop

Iā€™ve been looking forward to Anglesey, but the group meet and beers etc is a big part of the atmosphere for me.

Iā€™ll be really disappointed if that canā€™t happen.

I have no appetite to stay solo in a self catering place. Virtually to the extent Iā€™d rather not go, unless of course the rules permit.

Is it just me?

I hope itā€™s just you. I went to Anglesey with the lotus 7 club last year, first event after the lock down. The staff at Anglesey were very strict on bubbles and distancing (they were being scrutinised by the authorities) but it was still possible to have socially distanced chats in big circles and eat food from the take away. At least it was until the monsoon started,it was Wales August.

I have Croft booked as well. I would advise not delaying booking as there is a lot of pent up demand.

Iā€™m desperate to drive Anglesey and will sleep in my Exige in a layby if thatā€™s what it takes.

If the Welsh rules stick to a similar timeline to England then itā€™s not unreasonable to think we couldnā€™t have a group evening in a beer garden somewhere, so thereā€™s hope!

Just to be clear, I will, and only ever have since day 1, followed the rules.

My point is, without the social element surrounding the event, for me, it loses a lot of the attraction that makes it a special occasion to look forward to.

The situation is what it is though.

I donā€™t expect Iā€™ll be driving there and back in a day from the northern Lake District though.

I agree as long as the track day is on Iā€™ll be going. Iā€™ll sleep in the car if I have to.

Youā€™re more committed than me, and possibly younger, but thereā€™s no way on earth Iā€™ll be sleeping in the Exige!

I have slept in cars before, and both being more luxurious than the Exige (relatively)ā€¦

It was memorably dreadfulā€¦

Weā€™ll see what happens with accom options and Wales, their next update is 12th March.

Iā€™m really, really hoping the lifting of restrictions is nice to us and my bluff isnā€™t called on the promise to sleep in my car :lolno:

Booked Airbnb for 2 nights

Ade, see the above . . . hope your works out

Thommo I think thatā€™s the type of accomodation that was booked. Airbnb has both ā€œself containedā€ and also ā€œhotel-styleā€ accomodation on its books. If youā€™ve booked something like a holiday cottage, glamping pod or anything thatā€™s self contained/self catered - then you should be fine.

We booked an entire 3 bed house for the 4 of us, still not expensive, but as Steve is in our support bubble as he lives on his own, we are good to go

Same here, bnb is not ok but an apartment is. My booking is still ok, I think.

Sorry, Ade, I was in a room in farmhouse. So well done for getting sorted.

And, in other news, Iā€™m booked with LoT at Croft on July 2.

Me too

Excellent, Iā€™ll see you there
