2021 Exiges track day

Does camping fall under outdoor hospitality?

I believe camp sites will be open from 12th April.

If possible, Iā€™ll look for a self catering option.

Yep we planned to have a few family days away anyway either side of the trackday so had an Airbnb (or similar) intended anyway.

Welsh regs could be different though of course so still need to keep an eye out.

Good point on national differences.

If we are unable to stay in the Hotel it will be impossible for us to attend, the way I read the rules the hotels will not be open in time, Iā€™m currently hoping Welsh hotels will reopen in time. What do others think?

Hotels are out (unless Wales go a different way) but self catering ā€œstaycationsā€ are allowed - so Airbnb/camping/etc seems to be green lit.

But, in England at least, self contained accom is only for ONE householdā€¦ so thatā€™s out.

For Wales, things are ot yet clear on accom/hotels/pubs etc.

It is if you thought everyone was going to share a cottage? Should be fine for singles/couples to find a place each.

Well put it this way, I wonā€™t be paying for self contained accom just for myself, and youā€™re unlikely to be able to pay for just one night. So itā€™s not really economic.

Try Airbnb, thereā€™s loads* of 1 or 2 night options for Ā£50-Ā£100/night.

*loads normally, who knows what availability will be like when Wales regs are announced.

Iā€™m looking at one for the weekend, just trying to get my head around cancellation implications if the Welsh regs are a little more lethargic to relax.

Do we understand if the track day can actually go ahead with the relaxation of the restrictions?

The ā€œotherā€ TDOā€™s have said the 29th Mar date is when trackdays can recommence. Wales might be different though, nobody knows yet.

Well that is good news

Still going to need to stay somewhere.

Iā€™ve booked a holiday cottage with free cancellation up till the day before (booking.com) so have options in case the rules differ significantly in Wales.

Weā€™re going to have a few family days over the weekend just exploring some different scenery, worked out similar per night as the hotel did that I had planned.

Iā€™d better start looking . . .

Iā€™ve booked a two bedroom house that I can cancel through till end of April, so have options to go with hotel if it opens, stick with the house, or bin the whole thing off till another time.

Same here, I have booked a small apartment with Airbnb. Paul feels confident the day will go ahead.

Just booked a one bedroom at farmhouse via Airbnb. With last minute cancellation allowed. Four miles from circuit. Wonā€™t bugger the curry but spoil the few beers with the boys

B&B isnā€™t ā€˜self containedā€™ in most cases. Just flagging that the rules might not allow some of the options.

Would be useful if Wales could clarify.

This is about as much as I can findā€¦

Some of the rooms at the Bull might technically be categorised as self contained, being accessed independently from the car park.
