Hope you don’t mind but I’d like to keep you all in the loop and again extend an invite to next years championship.
The big news this time is that we are proud to announce that the champs will be sponsored by Nitron and will be officially called the Nitron SELOC Speed Championship 2013.
As part of the sponsorship they’ll be offering a prize for the overall winner of a set of 46mm Trackday Pro dampers for your specific vehicle.
The calendar for next year is being looked at right now and we are expecting to increase the number of rounds available to competitors to approx 14. With your best 7 counting.
It will once again be a handicapped series, based on power to weight, which means no matter what state of tune you are in as long as you can drive well you’re in with a shot. This years current championship leader is in a bog standard S2 118bhp K series.
More details will be post as and when they become available.
Will do. And yes, you do need to be a paid member of SELOC to compete (MSA rules, stipulate that you need to be a member of an MSA club that is invited to events, which SELOC is for Champ rounds) and you also need to be a member of the Champs to score points at these rounds.
Other dates now in:

I have more options on Curborough and Mallory which I can consider and also another double hearer at Angelsey.
On the drive by they are pragmatic and in general will not preclude you on the first offence. However, I’m personally too loud on the drive by and will not try again.
Your standard insurance or trackday cover won’t apply for sprinting and most people I know don’t bother. Cost wise I think it works out around 100-150 per event if you do and this is only limited coverage as well.
MIS, CCI, REIS, Morris should all be able to quote for it.
Whilst there are some accidents the main risk of people going in to you (like on a track day) aren’t relevant in sprinting. But it’s your own call.
Speak to Heritage Classic Car Insurance who are looking to offer a classic car policy that covers accidental damage to cars used in sprinting. If you need a name ask for Mark Dunkley.
I’m not sure that the policy is available yet but, worth a try. Their web site says it is available now. See HERE
Other than that there are companies listed in the Blue Book that offer competition car insurance.
Could I ask that all who are interested in taking part register their interest through the link below so I make sure I keep you all informed as things progress: http://forums.seloc.org/showevent.php?eid=2952
