hi everyone, i will hopefully soon be a owner of a s2 exige s, my first lotus. i cant wait

however i am wondering why it has the pre 2008 dash with grey alacantra dash top, white dials and no push start button. can anyone explain why this might be??? thanks in advance
Can’t be 100% certain but might have been ordered by a dealer and then sat in the showroom until someone bought it. Hence could be a 2008 car but not registered until 2009. If it has a COC it will say on there when it was built.
thanks for your reply but surely even if it was a 2008 car then it would still have the 2008 dash because i have seen 57 reg exiges with the 2008my dash?
Originally the later dash was part of the touring pack option. Not sure exactly when the change happened so that it became standard
Also, the car has cheap tyres on it. They are Toyo T1-R’s and the car should have Yokohama A048’s…the difference fitted is �400!
Sounds like the car was ordered by a dealer, sat on the showroom and then registered late. Bit expensive really.

Yep same as above, also I think (having an NA) the pylons for the rear wing would maybe should be body colour and not black being an S, didn’t this change during prior to 2008.
the leather dash and push button came with the super touring pack on pre 08 cars.
I think it was last year when there were a few cars arrived at dealers, from lotus, I dont know if they were old track cars etc but its deffinately a 2007 model. They basically ran them unregistered until they were dumped on the dealers, there were a few about at the time. This one was obviously only registered in 2009. Really it shouldnt be worth much more than an equivalent 2007 car.

thanks for your replies everyone. not sure if im put off the car now lol coz i much prefer the 08my dash n dont really fancy paying for an 09 car with an 07 dash
just buy the f**ing car! lol
theres plenty of options out there dont rush it just take your time to find the right one for you… took me a year to find the one i wanted and it was well worth the wait!
