So would I but it seems not… my oem fuel gauge was a little erratic when fuel was low, but on garw it’s quite erratic. Dave intimates that there is more than 1 channel, not sure why there would be 2… but I would like to understand as that may help to resolve a few of us with the dash where fuel readings are erratic as the tank empties…
So it seems the earlier cars only had one fuel channel - hence the jumping around reading with out loads of damping… later cars had an average and instantaneous… Wonder if the EMU black allows an average reading to be sent to the dash…
Pretty sure my white dash car had two channels.
I have also just checked the CAN protocol on the AIM software and the also list both instantaneous and average fuel level channels for the 2004-2007 cars
Good news! Have you discussed T/C with them at all? I believe the EMU has a couple of options for it, one using the ABS speed sensors that came on all S2’s and one using an aftermarket speed sensor for some more gucci functionality.
I’ve not discussed Traction Control with them because it’s not on my radar… Lets not forget I’m driving the Naturally Aspirated version, haha I only need it if I’m driving like a plonker in the rain With smooth inputs mine is pretty planted.
I’m pretty sure the software shows it down the side bar and you can just turn it on with the parameters you choose. Again, I’ve not looked in too much depth because mine is far less likely to break loose than if I’d got some kind of forced induction…
Yeah fair enough, my current T/C is always disabled on track anyway otherwise it just kicks in every time the inside rear tries spinning up - can’t drive hard with it at all. I believe the EMU module for it has got options for variable slip though which might make it a bit more useful in wet conditions so it’s something I may look into, just as a bit of a safety net.
So my car is still at hangar 111, initial map done with an increase in torque and power, however they are not fully happy with it as it seems to be doing some strange things at the top of the Rev range. They are checking plugs, fuel pump and injectors, although plugs were done 2018 less than 10k miles ago, and fuel pump and injectors were upgraded as part of the 280s kit. It could be crappy fuel I guess, but that’s unlikely…
