Great pics Rob !
Wonder how many of those cars are still the same today as a few of them seem to evolved somewhat !
Also how many people who were there still have their cars ?
Whos up for day again this year - maybe all book on a LOT day like we did last year ?

How many S1 Exiges will be at Oulton Park on 13th June?
As on another thread, perhaps this is a great opportunity to take a similar shot… but in the SUN!
… but in the SUN!
Well, the last shots pretty sunny
One thing though, (kinda prompted by Giless thread, and also by what Con mentioned) does anyone know how many original owners still have their cars or indeed how many cars still have their original owners, if that makes sense at all, (Ian?)
David
Hi David,
Well in the photos, the original owners still with the same cars are myself, Russ,83man,& possibly Bruno Schlumph (our original Swiss envoy with a BRG Exige).
I’d owned my S1 for 5 months at the time. Sadly, i knew fook all about exiges.com, not having a PC at the time Otherwise i’d have been there too
Donny is tailor made for the exige (or should that be the other way round )
Hi David,

Yep, I’ve still got mine…
Chrome Orange in the front row is now mine …It must have been Tony W’s then.
I think I might have some digital images at home - I’ll have a look tonight.
I did find soome digital images but only of me on track. In fact I think I missed the photo shoot on the grid because I went off to buy fuel or something. The lazer blue car on the front of the shot is Pesky’s (now Dynorod orange) car and I think the other laser blue car in the shot belonged to David Ward. David sold the car some time ago for one of those curvy TVR things, I think. There were certainly three lazer blue cars there that day and here they are at the lunch break outside the diner… [image]http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3273/2547244763_0cdc011ef3_b.jpg[/image]
The day was a little damp and there were even some early video clips posted around. It was actually my second track day at Donington that year having acquired the car in June.
Titanium one on the second row is mine (X 817 MGJ)
Still pretty much the same now as she was then (bar some minor additions in the engine bay and a few more miles on the clock).
Thanks for posting them up Pesky, always nice to see “Historical” shots of my beloved P&J, especially at times like now where I can’t actually look at it at the moment 'coz it’s in bits.

Blimey George, and I thought it was just the yanks that were into that kinda stuff
Seriously though, have you managed to get out on track much with the Exige yet? (sorry if I missed it in an earlier post, had a quick serch through but couldnt seem to find anything).

Well to be honest, when I was having a [censored] day, sometimes it was just nice to go home, open up the garage door, gaze upon it for a few seconds and get that silly grin that only an S1 Exige can deliver, lower the garage door again and go inside satisfied and thankful that whatever happens, I’m a lucky ba$tard after all In her current state she doesn’t quite have the same appeal
Have I been on track?!?!!?

Sadly not been on track as much as I’d have liked though… there’s always next summer though!
Oh and Mike… that’s a VERY cool picture of the three Laser Blues lined up… even if one of them is now a radioactive tangerine
…and I think the other laser blue car in the shot belonged to David Ward. .
I think it actually beloved to a bloke called Keith Curren (forum name Maverick) - he went on to get a road registered Radical SR3, but haven’t heard from him for years.
David did of course have a Lazer Blue Exige. I think he now has a Porsche, after flogging the red Sagaris he brought to the Donington Exiges day in 2006.

Hey, I know you weren’t… we’re all a little funny in the head in 'ere… I’m amongst my peers
Yeah, Taupo’s a lovely track, very technical… probably the best in NZ… at least until Hampton Downs opens up at the end of the year rubs hands together in anticipation and glee

You see, that’s why you are the Forum’s gossip columnist…
