15000km since 02/2007 - what servicing details?

hi all

I bought my s1 in february 2007 with 40000km on the clock - has now 55000km (first engine, no rebuilt yet )…

Can anyone tell me what the servicing details should be? My mechanic was a bit surprised by the high mileage in such a short time and asked me to bring the car every 15000km for a pit stop (servicing)…

As it’s my everydays car with about 25000-30000km a year, this could become expensive

But in any other car I get very bad mood instantly, so servicing the exige twice a year still should be less expensive than seeing the shrink regularely

If I were you, I’d get it serviced every 10000km (per Lotus recommendation), plus if you’re doing trackdays, change the oil (fully syntheic 10-60) every 5000km.

If not already done, change the cambelt NOW

ok - cambelt was changed when I bought the car (@40000km)… i do a 10w60 oil top-up every 1000km, not chnaged it completely (so far)… no track days so far… will do a amateur track day next week, but nothing too heavy.

it’s really hard to find a garage that knows how to maintain this fantastic engine
