Hi Peter,
Is that my old engine that blew up?
Surely it will only be a few valves and maybe a few valve guides Peter?? I had my bottom pulley fall off at Castle combe (cam belt quickly followed) and I only had to replace 4 valves and 2 valve guides.
I hasten to add that the bottom pulley bolt hadn’t been touched by me before it departed!! lol.
Sean…
If a valve snapped, then the resulting carnage in an all alloy engine usually means a bin job. Depends how lucky you are.

Yes, I had done 5 sessions at snetterton and everything was fine, my pals car had been playing up so I let have the sixth session, we were over taking an elise on the back straight he went from 4th to 3rd instead of 5th, when he started letting the clutch out it was all over…
Shame as we were flying, the incar video makes it worse.
We have not had head of yet but bottom end spins freely so we may lust have a knacked head and bent valves but i fear the worst

I hope so I am putting off taking the head for 10 days as my pal who will be helping is on his holidays.
I shall let you all know, on that not does any body have some warm cams suitable for standard K series engine?
