All hydrocarbon fuels are lighter than water. Petrol is about 750 grams per litre, whereas water is of course 1000 grams per litre.
Have anyone else tryed to get the 0-100 mph time…??
Honda .audi… Uldis engine???
I have only manage to get high 14 sec or was it 15???(if I remember correctly)
curious…
Actually achieving decent standing start times is amazingly difficult especially if its your own car (too much mechanical sympathy). My Caterham book figure was 3.9s to 60, I never bettered 4.5s. I wouldn’t like to try the Exige as I bet I would end up with a figure on the wrong side of 6. The book 0-100 for an Exige is 13.2 so you’re not doing bad!
I had one go with my car (251bhp K Elise S1) when it was only 245bhp and got 3.9 and 9.4 - that was with the roof off using road tyres.
Steve Guigeliemi got a 3.9 at the Tuner GP last year too, times to 100 weren’t recorded.
For both runs the cars weight was approx 660kg.
Well that seems about bang on , a 245bhp car weighing in at 660kg should be capable of 0-60 in 3.6secs and 0-100 in 9.1secs.
