Rear engine cover - I believe these are made from Acrylic? Do they have a factory tint or something on them? My glass/acrylic is flaking and needs refurbing. Is this just a matter of removing the old film and reapplying a new tint?

I believe they're polycarbonate rather than acrylic, and the tint is in the scratch coat/lacquer rather than being a film. Quite difficult to repair
